Lubna Al Qasimi attends 107th edition of the Canton Fair in China

WAM Guangzhou – China, Apr 14th, 2010 (WAM) — HE Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Foreign Trade, participated today in the opening of the 107th edition of the Canton Fair in the city of Guangzhou in China.
The opening ceremony was also attended by ministers of trade and economy from a number of countries. Over 55,000 exhibitors from 200 countries are participating in the fair, which specialises on Chinese exports and imports.
The UAE delegation present at the ceremony included Abdullah Al Saleh, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Trade, senior officials of the UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, a number of businessmen and entrepreneurs of small and medium-sized ventures and representatives of 50 national Emirati companies and national associations.
Sheikha Lubna exchanged talks with a number of ministers from China and other world countries and explored possibilities of investment by global firms in the UAE. She underscored the distinctive features of the UAE, its ideal location that opens doors to over 300 million consumers in the region as well as its open approach to investment.
