BRT Construction in Tianhe to Complete This Year’s End
The Mayor of Guangzhou Zhang Guangning ordered on Friday the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) construction along the Zhongshan Dadao in this south China city should be completed by the end of this year.
He commented during his inspection to the site.
He also required the constructor to optimize the building operations and traffic rearrangement for fewer congestions.
The lane blocks mainly for the tunnel construction (as a part of the Liede Bridge project) result in traffic jams in Tianhe, and have been well complained.
The nearby BRT constructions somehow aggravate the traffic situation in Tianhe.
Today the busy crossroads of Tianhe Lu and Tianhe Dong Lu is closed for infrastructure construction, and will bring more traffic congestions there.
