Guangzhou Celebrates 24th Birthday of GDD
A grand gala was held on the evening of November 12th to celebrate the 24th anniversary of the establishment of GDD (Guangzhou Development District) and the 30th anniversary of implementation of the reform and opening-up policy.
Since its establishment in 1984, GDD has yielded rich fruits, achieving a gross regional product of RMB534.131 billion, a gross industrial output of RMB1,306,437,000,000, foreign investment of USD27,381billion, actually utilized foreign investment of USD8.788 billion, import and export value of USD100.897 billion and a tax revenue of RMB115.698 billion.
Xue Xiaofeng, Director of Administration of GETDD, said at the ceremony that continual efforts would be made to develop GDD and Luogang District into the spearhead of modern industries as well as a new town featuring a perfect ecological environment.
