Over 68,000 Citizens Climbed Guangzhou Baiyun Mountain and Prayed for Blessings
Visiting the park, appreciating the flowers and climbing the Baiyun Mountain have been the most favorable traditional ways to celebrate the Double Ninth Festival for Guangzhou citizens. The night on 6th was the night before the Double Ninth Festival and citizens climbing the Baiyun Mountain would reach a peak. Since 6 o’clock in the evening, people are emerging in Baiyun Mountain, enjoying the scenery and praying for the Double Ninth Festival. Because of the weather, people climbing the mountain this year were nearly half that of last year.
According to statistics from the Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area Bureau, the number of visitors last night in Baiyun Mountain was about 68,000 and over 10,000 people climbed the Moxingling, which was half that of last year. The peak was between 10 pm to 12 pm last night with over 38,000 people entering.
