Guangzhou to Dispose Urban Sludge via Cement Kilns
Guangzhou’s 2006-2010 Planning for the Cement Industry launched its public display of environmental impacts Assessment. According to the planning, by 2010 Guangzhou will eliminate the laggard cement production capacity up to 9 million tons. The environmental protection level for newly established cement production lines will be greatly enhanced assuring significant emission reductions. Two new cement production lines will be built within the existing cement producing enterprises in Huadu to dispose of urban sludge and other industrial solid wastes and to realize the improved utilization of resources and to make harmless the wastes produced.
