Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Welcomes Inbound Traffic Peak

The mounting returning traffic has been swarming to the Baiyun Airport in Guangzhou, South China, since October 3, the 5th day of China’s Golden “Holi-week” around the National Day.

Crowded Baiyun Airport in Guangzhou

The airport lobby was crowded daily with about 80, 000 inbound passengers from their leisure travels. Most of the people were tourist groups, mainly back from Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou and other big cities.

Some airliners provided about 70 temporary additional flights to meet the increasing demand.

The airport opened all its checkpoints unusually from 6 am for better passengers’ get-through.

The ticket price of the outbound flights from Guangzhou returned to usual discount. 60%-or-more-off discounts are available for most flights, while about 30%-or-less-off rates are for the flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Harerbin, Changchun and Guiyang.

The flights to Haikou and Sanya of Hainan, the storm-hit south-end province, are not affected by the recent storm Higos. The schedule of most flights to and from Guangzhou remains intact against the rainfalls.
